Tile Adhesive Introduction:
In the building materials market, there are more and more types of tiles. The quality of tile adhesive the use of tile. It is mainly used to paste decorative materials such as tiles, tiles ,floor tiles. Ect…
Tile adhesive features:
It has high bonding strength, water resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, good aging resistance and convenient construction. It is an ideal bonding material.
Main ingreadient:
cement, quartz sand, heavy calcium, HPMC (hypromellose), rubber powder, wood fiber, starch ether, is a polymer-modified cement-based tile paste mortar.
According to material characteristics:
Porcelain brick (water absorption rate less than 0.5%);
Ceramic tile (water absorption rate 0.5% to 3%);
Fine brick (water absorption rate 3% to 6%);
Tantalum brick (water absorption rate 6% to 10%);
Clay brick (water absorption rate than more 10%),
Cause Analysis:
- Ceramic tiles have few surface pores, smooth back surface, and extremely low water absorption. There are almost no micropores or pits to lock cement mortar.
- The bonding material is subjected to swelling, shrinkage, thermal expansion and contraction, hardening shrinkage, construction shock and other external forces, so that there is a great interaction force between the base layer and the bonding layer.
- Ordinary cement mortar or brick binder is difficult to penetrate and adhere, so the problem of hollowing and detachment often occurs.
In different ceramic tiles, higher hardness and lower water absorption seem to be the commonality of these new ceramic tiles.
- Generally, the lower the water absorption rate of the tile, the better the degree of vitrification, the better the physical and chemical properties of the product, and the less likely to crack or peel off due to the thermal expansion and contraction of the climate change.
- With excellent physical and chemical properties, good frost resistance and low pollution, vitrified tiles have gradually become the mainstream of the market.
- The tile Adhesive HPMC, which provides good water retention and construction for the new mortar. Due to its air entrainment (1900g/L—-1400g/L PO 400 sand 600 HPMC 2), the weight of the tile adhesive is reduced, the material is saved and the elastic modulus of the hardened mortar is reduced.
Generally, the lower the water absorption rate of the tile, the better the degree of vitrification, the better the physical and chemical properties of the product, and the less likely to crack or peel off due to the thermal expansion and contraction of the climate change.
The quality of the tile glue provided greatly, which led to the use of ceramic tile
